FEBRUARY 2025 UPDATE

Hey y'all! We currently are still testing fertility. And have NO availability. We do not let ANY hatching eggs leave the farm until fertility rates are 93% or higher. I do this to ensure that I have done everything possible for our customers to have a great hatch rate. 

 

My plan for the 2025 hatching season will go just like it did last year. We will not have a waitlist and there will be no preorders. I will make a post 1-2 times a week (probably on Sundays at 2pm eastern time) with any availability and ship the following day. This works best for our family and our schedule. 

 

In 2025, I will focus more on WHO WE ARE SHIPPING/SELLING TO. There were several customers that got very...creative...and tried to get away with sneaky stuff, which also means our "Do Not Sell" list got a little longer. Which is unfortunate, but they leave me no other option. Not everyone has good and honest intentions. But much thanks to our many wonderful customers that keep us going (💕)!

 

In 2025, we will continue to ONLY ship hatching eggs and have pickups for chicks. We will NOT ship chicks. We have met a lot of fabulous out of state folks that traveled to pick up their chicks and even had many come pick up their hatching eggs. 

 

Though I love sharing our flock with y'all, I will continue to prioritize my time and put my family and health first.

We are a family farm located in Virginia. Specializing in rainbow egg colors and temperament. We are NPIP certified, allowing us to ship hatching eggs and day old chicks throughout the continental United States.

The Pickled Coop LLC also makes fresh batches of our famous pickled eggs in a variety of different flavors including, Carolina Reaper, Jalapeno, Cajun and Spicy Pineapple.
