Reserve Until Coop Ready Program

CLOSED FOR THE 2024 SEASON

We offer this as a convenience to those who don't have the set up for chicks, don't have the time to raise chicks or those who are only interested in almost laying pullets. We get asked almost daily if we have any laying hens available, and the answer is usually no. We usually sell out of chicks within a week of them hatching, so we never have any available to grow out.

The process is very simple, and it can all be done virtually if you'd like. We email you an agreement form and if you agree to our terms, we will set a hatch date, accept payment and let you know the expected hatch date and approximate 12 week pickup date.

The agreement form goes over our health guarantee with our reserve program, non-refundable policy, adding new chickens to your existing flock recommendations, etc.

The cost to reserve is double the cost of the chick price. This covers the cost of feed, electricity to keep the chicks warm and bedding (usually our laying hens prices are double the chick cost or more depending on breed). There is an additional $50 fee added to cover the space used to keep them and the time that is spent to keep them happy and healthy. They are handled multiple times daily as chicks, and once they are fully feathered and in one of our teenager coops (weather permitting) they will get to free range every morning until sundown. They get treats and played with just like our own flock.

RESERVE ORDERS ARE FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.

WE CANNOT SHIP CHICKS THAT ARE OVER 1 DAY OLD.
